A student models her medallion. Students are assigned animal names at a ceremony on the first day of the program. They then research their animal names in field guides and create a medallion based on their image. They make rope out of plant fibers so they may wear their medallion as a necklace.

Tools created by students include spatulas for cooking over the fire and tongs for retrieving coals used to burn out wooden spoon bowls.

A skit at the community celebration on the last night of the program.
